Frank Turner is known to millions of viewers in metropolitan Detroit as an Emmy winning investigative reporter and the co-anchor of "Action News" at 5 pm and 7pm on WXYZ-TV Channel 7.
However, the most meaningful recognition is Frank's growing reputation as "America's First Evangelical Anchorman" for boldly proclaiming the Gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ in the last place anyone would expect: a secular newscast!
As a gifted news anchor, evangelist, seminar speaker and Bible teacher, Frank is a unique and formidable weapon for the Lord's Kingdom.
Frank was a young college student, working in a Chicago newsroom, when he says he "fell in love" with television news.
One year later, a veteran News Director recognized his natural talent and Frank began reporting the news in Omaha, Nebraska.
Today, as a seasoned veteran broadcaster and journalist, Frank understands and deeply appreciates the power of television news. He is committed to his community and is particularly interested in advocating improvements in the Detroit Public School system.

As an anchor and a tenacious interviewer, he doesn't take his time in the public eye lightly.
"I love that news gives me the ability to interact with millions of people every day," Frank says. "And I love being an advocate for fairness and justice."
Frank is originally from Chicago and joined Channel 7 in October 1990 after anchoring and reporting in Omaha, Nashville, Chicago and New Orleans.
Frank Turner is an Emmy winning reporter, and has been honored with several other awards, including the Associated Press Broadcasters award, the Radio and Television News Directors Association Michele Clark Fellowship Award, and the New York Festivals Television Award.
But again, Frank considers his most meaningful recognition to be his growing reputation as "America's First Evangelical Anchorman." As a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, Frank has boldly proclaimed the Gospel of our Savior in regular commentaries at the end of his 7 pm newscasts.
